Meridian G95 : the high-end HTIB solution
The G91A was a huge success and now Meridian releases the G95 : a DVD-Audio/Video Receiver and first combination receiver/disc Player.
The Meridian G95 matches products such as the Solo Movie 5.1 by Arcam or the Classik Movie by Linn.
The G95 incorporates a high performance DVD-Audio/Video disc player that provides a jitter-reducing triple buffering system said to maximize “HF transparency, sound stage precision and stability” while affording “sound and picture quality second only to Meridian’s 800 Reference DVD/CD player.” The receiver boasts a 150 MIPS DSP engine to help handle Dolby and DTS decoding tasks, plus broadcast quality Meridian/Faroudja DCDi video processing/scaling for HDMI output options of 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p, or component video options of 480p, 576p, or 1080i (pass through).
Also, the G95 holds a Class D 5-channel amplifier that puts out *100 Wpc *at 4 ohms. It provides everything necessary to serve as the platform of a fine quality surround system.
The Meridian G95 is available at 6,700€.
